I love them but why did I bother making an appointment for a rotation? Its gonna be an hour before they get to it. I could have gone to the local shop a mile from my house.

So worth going and spending $10 at the vato tire shop in and out in 10 minutes ..

I had an appointment earlier this week and they told me that with an appointment I was guaranteed to be in and out within 45 min.
Maybe the manager of the store you went to isn't sticking to the rules set by corporate?

I bought a set of tires at Discount in March, my first from them in over 20 years. I buy a lot of tires and drive a lot of miles (4 automobiles, 3 trailers, multiple other pneumatically wheeled vehicles) and use the local to me shop which is an 8-10 store chain.

Wife already made an appointment for her 1st 5K rotation 2 weeks ago. Took almost an hour. All in all this is just a 1st World problem.

I will recant my statement. They told me 45 minutes to an hour. But they got me outa there in 15 minutes, no charge. My bad.

Discount tire made me a loyal customer as a teenager. Not many companies are ran much better than them.

DT has changed a lot since the owner died.

DT service is very location-dependent. The one in Rockwall is just awful. Greenville is usually pretty good. Tyler has a couple if I recall and one is better and one is not so good. I wish they could all be run the same way

Like most here, I've bought a couple dozen set of tires from Discount over the years, but they are starting to get on my nerves. The wait times, even with an appointment are only getting longer and longer. Show up without and appointment, forget about it. Just a couple weeks ago my experience almost pushed me over the line.

Had an appointment for tire rotation and balance. After about an hour later, they tell me something is in one of my tires and they are going to break it down to inspect. Then the manager comes and asks me if I had a flat on that tire or if another shop had worked on the tires. I explain to him the tires were bought there, rotated there, and I have not had any flats. Then he shows me TPMS that broke off and had rubbed the inside of the tire down that they would not put it back on the truck and that I would have to pay the prorated part for the replacement tire. I'm no tire guy, but I'm thinking the only way the TPMS can break off the valve stem is to be hit by a tire tool? We go back and forth and he isn't taking responsibility. So I agree to pay my part, but the tire is not in stock, come back next week. I go back next week and they put a tire on and just before I get in my truck, I look at the tire, with a new TPMS that I paid for and it is the wrong tire. Any way, 2 visits in just over a week, about 4 hours out of my time. Getting real close to finding a new vendor.

I agree. Midlothian and Waxahachie locations have been great though IMO

Wife's explorer got a large nail through the sidewall when we were east of San Angelo. Discount was closed due to a holiday. I had to buy a Firestone to get back home in time to work on the following Tuesday.

The tires that were on it came from DC. When I went the next week to buy a new tire (Michelin) to match it, not only did they warranty it they reimbursed me fully for the firestone and told me to keep it.

I like Discount.

Drove 30 minutes to Angelo at 4$ gas and could have got it done cheaper in Ballinger at either shop by the grocery store cheaper? Did you buy cat food while in Angelo?

It was free at Discount. Had to go to angelo anyway.
