I am going crazy, I know that I have seen these anchors before but for the life of me I can not remember what they are called. I don't remember but I think they were not highly rated for holding power. Not necessarily wanting to buy one, just help me remember what the heck they were called. crazy

That link takes you to a MinnKota Deckhand. Which I believe is nothing more than a winch that deploys and retrieves the anchor.

What my guess is on the type of anchor you are talking about is a mushroom anchor - one that is used for mud / soft bottom.

I used the link to the deckhand to show the anchor that is attached because I can not find a picture of that anchor anywhere else without knowing what is called. Like I said, this is bugging the heck out of me. The deckhand device is unimportant to my question. I just want to know what the heck is that anchor called. smile

It's a CrabClaw Marine anchor. I used to have one, but lost it to a bad knot.
