Went to Academy today to get a new 6 gallon gas tank and hose for my Evenrude I bought for my Jon boat . Decided to buy al new stuff since I am getting the carbs rebuilt . Not cheap . Tank was $59.00 and the gas line with the primer bulb was $48 . Plus $8.00 for the tank connector . Stopped and got 6 gallons of good VP racing fuel ethanol free gas . Got to Whitney , hooked it up and the connectors from the tan and hose leaks like a bitch. Did some reviews and it is a common problem with them .
Marine Raider Johnson Evinrude 0.38 in x 6 ft Fuel Line Kit. I called and at least they said I can get my money back . Just sucks that we have to pay good money now days for China Junk ! You would think Acadamy would at least look at this as a safety issue .
I looked on Amazon and no good reviews on any gas lines at all . I'm going to call Charlies in Alvarado and have Keith make me a good one .

Bit the gas makes such pretty colors when it hits the water.

Most of those cheap gaslines have a stupid inner liner that breaks down, causing problems down the road. Better to make one of have one made thumb

Interesting. I redid mine 3 years ago. I bought an Attwood assembly which is still a budget brand, but its been working fine. I thought Academy sold Attwood also. Anyway, I think it came with the pump and quick disconnect, then I had to buy the "fuel demand valve" separate along with some barbed connecters and some hose clamps. No leaks whatsoever.

Heard good things about Charlie’s . Does a good job and is reliable but It’s on the high side from my understanding but I can’t speak from personal experience. Good luck
