There will be 100 HS boats on your point next weekend. Good info and great fish.

As the flat goes out several hundred yards, I use my 3.5” 2000 model hummingbird and look for bait balls, Her fish was on chrome deep diving crank. Most my bass caught were on deep diving (20+ type) in fire tiger or white . We have also caught on jigging spoons too but I like to span cast cranks to cover more water looking for hybrids. But those hybrids have been hiding . Largemouth on cranks and my 4lb bass on Mepps #4 in-line spinner, again in search of whites.

Fishing offshore can take you out of your comfort zone but also can be rewarding . I have caught 7-8lb bass on jigging spoons on Lake Austin back in the day but I was offshore and 99% of bass fish

Belton largemouth are notorious for running with the Whites, especially this time of year. thumb

90% of lmb caught this spring were on the girls scout point while white bass fishing. Span casting in all directions . 4lb smallie too

Good luck

I also thump , jig and catch bass too . I use to fish tournaments before. But health forced me sell my Ranger and fish from GF boat. Very blessed

Congratulations. Great bass. Her smile says it all.

I used to fish Belton and Stillhouse all the time and love those lakes.
