Which do you like better, the swim jig or a chatter bait?

Sometimes it’s hard to put either of them down but I’d have to go with a swim jig for versatility. Anxious to try the Ike’s mini swim jig-Ordered a few this weekend.

I love a good swim jig bite. However, I catch way more fish on chatterbait throughout the year. If it's thick cover and/or grass I will go with a swim jig. Everything else I will usually go with a chatterbait. I have both tied on all the time. I've been trying to get a swim jig bite all year but probably caught at least 100/1 so far this year on chatterbait.

You hit the nail on the head with this info. Along with flipping soft plastics or a jig I have the Chatterbait and Swim Jig tied on and use both depending on the structure I come to. There is nothing I like better than working that Swim Jig and getting a bass to explode on it especially in vegetation of some kind but day in and day out the Chatterbait just catches fish although I also always have a Spinnerbait tied on but can't really explain what makes me throw it in some situations over the Chatterbait. Being a video junky I have seen a lot of Swim Jig anglers out there but I really like watching Steve Kennedy and feel like I have learned a lot about how he swims and flips jigs all at the same time in the structure he fishes them.

Green flooded brush or limber tree tops, I'm ripping a chatterbait through them.
If its more hardwoods or thicker trees where I'm constantly getting snagged with a chatterbait I will throw a swim jig.
Really stained water, I tend to use spinnerbaits more.
I like green pumpkin and green pumpkin/chartreuse with a black blade for during the spawn and post spawn I throw white more often.
