of gum and candies I ate\chewed as a kid. I was at Atwoods in the lovely town of Waxahachie and saw these at the counter and had to take one each home. I can't remember the last time I saw these sold. I think back in the day they were a nickel a pack maybe less but gladly paid .69 cents to bring back an old memory... [Linked Image]

Loved their gum.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

There is a place called H&H convenience store in Hutchins that still sells old school candies like the little wax soda bottle looking things that has some type of kool-aid type drinks in them, and believe it or not they still sell candy cigarettes (its actually gum) that’s the only place I’ve still seen those, and a few other of the old candy I don’t see anywhere else.
The place makes a really good old school burger basket too, the king burger combo is a good-

I absolutely remember those, mom carried them. I will have to say I didn’t care for them, especially the licorice flavor

Blackjack and Moxie! I remember them days.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

I remember a gum that was called Chum Gum it was a two stick package and cost was a penny. I would buy a nickels worth and split them up and sell each stick for a penny at school doubling my money.

Busted up my two teeth pretty bad as a child and the silver temporary caps I had to wear for years were held on with a glue that had clove oil in it. The smell or taste of clove makes me wanna puke!
