Planning a trip with my dad. Best option would be a guide. We got a guide once out of port o conner and it was alot of fun in-between jetties chasing jacks. Honestly wouldn't mind that again if some reds could be mixed in. Dad likes hard pulling and constant action. Sharks, jacks, mackerel, doesn't matter. Any recommendations. Galveston, port oconner, matagorda, rockport? Based on what we are looking for, bay isn't really an option. We fresh water fish locally with good success so really want deep water with strong fish. Prefer jetties, mid to offshore.

My wife and I have had great trips out of Dolphindocks in Port Aransas. They have 4 hour trips to 12 hour trips and longer. The 12 hour trips have been very productive. You can go to their website and look at their gallery to see what they are catching.
