Fished wind blown points in 15-20 feet of water. Also did some white bass fishing too. GF caught her PB on chrome crank bait. It jumped and she yelled get the net. Not the normal just get the net tone. Lol 23.5” or 7.51lbs. CPR and great day to see her catch your personal best. Water temp-71 degrees and she caught it at 1pm

One note I my suggest to fishing offshore for bass, we have been catching some nice bass amongst the schools or whites chasing the shad. This applies “offshore” as I’m not throwing at banks. Most you know I like to suggest technics based on my experience. The bass from 2-4lbs mostly have been off temple park main lake point. As the flat goes out several hundred yards, I use my 3.5” 2000 model hummingbird and look for bait balls, Her fish was on chrome deep diving crank. Most my bass caught were on deep diving (20+ type) in fire tiger or white . We have also caught on jigging spoons too but I like to span cast cranks to cover more water looking for hybrids. But those hybrids have been hiding . Largemouth on cranks and my 4lb bass on Mepps #4 in-line spinner, again in search of whites.
Fishing offshore can take you out of your comfort zone but also can be rewarding . I have caught 7-8lb bass on jigging spoons on Lake Austin back in the day but I was offshore and 99% of bass fishing throw at banks . My opinion.
