Spent about $300 last year to get my Honda generator working. Used it last month during power outage.

Could not get it to start today. Pulled that cord every way I could. Nothing…

I need to charge batteries on little boat…so off to Lowes. Knew I was in trouble when just inside the door was a senior with his golden…told me he is waiting on an employee to help him.

I make my way to the few gens they have. They have a metal bar holding gens in place….now I really need help. I explore the area…no employees. After several minutes…I go to customer service to ask for help. They made the announcement. I wait a few more…back to customer service. This time, I pick up a chaise….drag it back to where the generators are. Sit down, wait it out. Cap pulled low, aisle blocked. After 45 mins or so, back to customer service. This time the lady from customer service attempted to help…she saw the older guy who works in the power equipment. She tells him I have questions….his reply,”I did not know we sell generators.”

Best line of day…the customer service lady said, “This would be a great place for a hardware store.”

Air, spark, or fuel. Easy to troubleshoot.

Low oil will also cause a no start. Customer Service lady was funny...in a sad way.

Lowes has gone downhill a lot since they got their new CEO, from JC Penny's.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Really difficult to get decent service anywhere, occasionally I am surprised by helpful employees, but not often

I attempted a visit to Home Depot yesterday. Result, I will just find what I need online, purchase there, and pick up at the same store I was at but couldn't find a sole who could help me.

That reminded me of a funny Lowes experience several years back. Lowes off 1604 on the west side of San Antonio, went in to find some items. Guy helping me was very knowledgeable. When I told him what I was looking for, he told me to go across 1604 to the Home Depot to buy it because Lowes didn't carry it anymore.

A little tip about generators; crank it every month on the 1st and let it run for 5 minutes.

Did you buy another generator cuz you couldn’t start the one you had ? You can ship that pesky thing to me it’s probably taking up too much space 😁

My days of buying anything powered from big stores is absolutely over.
