So I picked up drinking beer again - a little. I'd say that it's been probably 12 - 15 years since I've had beer in the cooler.

Scenario:
Beer is ice cold, & the cooler sits in the back of the truck a few days and the beer gets really warm from the cooler sitting in the sun and making the water hot/warm.

What the rule here? Throw the stuff out it's no good. All is good never throw a beer out.
Does it matter if it's in a bottle versus a can?

Seems like I remember if you drink a beer that got warm after being cold, it gave you the runs.
Trying to go straight to the pros here because I don't want to learn by trial and error again.

It won't go bad and make you sick. It may have some off flavor if it was hot enough for long enough.
A lot of beers have gone through some pretty extreme pasteurization processes.
Think about all those imported beers that sit in non-refrigerated shipping containers for weeks before it makes it to the retailer.
What brand is it?

I always had another cooler that they went in and was left very accessible to our crews, mine stayed in the front of the truck with fresh beer/ice

toss a bag of ice on the other cooler and yell come n get it.

never had a complaint. grin

oh and get a yeti like all the cool beer swillers. roflmao

coors will never sit in a warm trailer, they make you have it at least 45* or less before they will load you. also have to prove it was washed prior to picking up the load.

hated hauling for coors, major pita

Same with our beers. Must be shipped and stored cold.
But just like Coors, once it gets to retail it can sit on displays at room temp for a certain amount of days

I used to pick up bud in ft collins and haul to ne of atlanta to a warehouse, never in a reefer trailer and hauled it sometimes in extreme heat then it sat there for who knows how long.

now if I have one it is modelo or labatts (gold if I can find it). I rarely drink any beer anymore tho
