Launched at 6:30am at free ramp next to Franks Marina. Winds were gusting out of NE. Headed to white lights at Franks to catch shad. One throw I had all I needed. Mostly 3inch. Then went out to main lake in search of something big enough to catch with them. Without SPOT LOCK TM , it was hard to position in NE winds gusting to over 15mph. So made a run to GirlScout Point. Dropped a couple shad down in38 feet of water and caught immediately some nice blues. However, the jig bite was great even with the wind gusting and stopped live bait fishing and kept jigging. We quit a little before 10am as the winds and blowing rain started. We kept the catfish. But released all the white bass and several 12" hybrids. Great fun on light action gear.

Thanks for all the reports and tips

Thanks Bob for conservation and C&R .....
