last time we went in a took out a leader in Iraq it destabilize the region for years and still isn't much better. I don't think putin is a good person in general but the leaders in the 80's let the mob tear apart russia and because we had been a in a cold war for 50 years let it happen. putin and russia now want it back. You may not like what is happening over there but russia is not completely out of line to put their country back together. The mob back then took the best parts out of russia and now the rest of russia want it back. This is their fight and we should let them fight it out. We stayed out of it back then and let the mob take what they wanted in the 80's. we shouldn’t lose men and women over what is basically a civil war in my opinion. Russia was broke back then and didn't have the money to fight they finally have enough money to go to war to take back what they feel is theirs. They had to sale off military equipment back then just to survive. They don't want to use nukes but I wouldn't push russia or putin into a corner. This the region of russia that produced their food and they have been strving for years while the mob got rich selling the produce to other countries.

I wonder how we would feel if Texas went and became their own country with all of their oil fields in west texas and produce from south texas and wood from east texas. The US would start a civil war with Texas as soon as they could just like Russia just did.

I don't like they waited basically 40 years to do it tho. A lot of ukraines have never known being under russia rule. I don't blame them for not wanting to go back under russia law either. This is their fight not ours. Ukraine glady went under Russia control in the early 1900's you don't just get to chance your minds.

I agree 921 Phoenix, but killing innocent people does not make a lot of sense, and specifically in these modern times. Putin is looking bad, and someone like Putin does not like to loose. At some point, someone has to stand up to Evil.

I agree Putin is evil and is a lot of bad going on yes but bad goes on in all wars this one is nothing new.
We can go to the Japanese in WWII or Sheridan in the civil war or how bout the Vietnam, war is always bad and innocent people are always killed

Ukraine was never in Russia. It was part of the USSR which was an agreement to join forces.
In 1991 by a vote of over 90% Ukraine voted to be independent the same month the Soviet Union, USSR ended.

Russia is attacking a country that wants to be democratic and force them to become reliant on mother Russia.
The reason Putin lost in this war was because he went to war. Give any of their border countries a reason to fear you and they will. The result of Putin's attack on Ukraine will end with everything he did not want.
More border countries aligning with the west. More threat of arms on or near their border. Common logic tells you that you arm yourself when threatened. You point you guns in towards the threat.
