Simple question for law enforcement folks.

I have seen on Cops that it is not proper to carry around drugs outside their prescription bottle….so

What is the right way to carry one or two pills?

I have periodic high blood pressure. One med is slow acting…the other drops blood pressure quickly. What is the approved way to carry these around but not have two big bottles in my pocket?

Thanks in advance.

Check on your state.
In Texas its not illegal to carry pills outside the bottle but they can arrest you for having prescription drugs without a prescription. I would take a pic of the pill bottle and prescription as a precaution.

I agree with the above answer. I keep a picture of all my med bottles then place my pills in one small container. Unless you’re a person who always seems to be stopped by the cops, it wont be a big deal if you’re asked about your meds during questioning. I’ve encountered that situation hundreds of times and never had an issue with the person.

If you are an old you probably don't have much to worry about.

Now I have something else to worry about, a LEO finding Viagra in my pocket when I'm getting searched after getting pulled over for rolling through a stop sign.
OMG

If he's feeling around your pockets, he'll know pretty quick if you already took one, too.

I’ve never arrested anyone for possessing blood pressure medication. Keeping a copy of prescription and having photographs of a prescription bottle will highly assist… totality of the circumstances will come into play during these types of encounters.

I'd like a Cop to try to bust my brass about having a pill in my pocket. I dare a mofo to try.

He'd probably be distracted by the blunt behind my ear anyway... would not even trip on the blood pressure pill.

LE would need to determine what the pill is before filing a charge. If it’s a prescription narcotic, proof that you have a current prescription for that dose of that substance should settle it. I have a prescription for a med that is available in the same dosage OTC, w/o a prescription. I certainly wouldn’t be prosecuted for that, just because I had it outside a prescription vial.
