I have a new set of cat prints on my truck almost every day. Sometimes as an added bonus they leave skid marks down the windshield. I don’t know who owns the furry critters.

Is there anyway to keep cats off the cars without killing them?

I don't have a solution although the answers will vary from air rifle to zydeco music playing loudly.

I'll take the cats, not that big a deal. Zydeco would make me shoot myself.

Parking overnight in your garage is about it. I always figured the cat that walked on my hood may have caught the rat that was headed for my engine compartment.

You need a Harvey.
Stray we got after the hurricane. He hates cats. And he's faster than they are. Any feral feline that makes the mistake of wandering into range, he'll alert, then clear the area.

Our cats have always stayed in my shop for over 20 years at night, so I get tracks on my truck all the time. The upside is I have never seen a single rat turd or had a mouse get into anything. I even keep bags of corn on the floor after deer season and never had a bag touched by a mouse. My boat has also gone untouched as well.

This is the reason I have cats, people dumping them like trash out here in the sticks. Please don’t do this.

Check with animal control in your town. Some will loan you a live trap and once you catch one take it to them and they will do the dirty work.

I take them to a friend's barn. They keep the rats from getting in his feed room. Not just anybody barn
