Live right near this lake and was wondering if anybody has fished for crappie and done any good here. There is a bunch of sunken and fallen trees on the upper ends of the lake and some aquatic vegetation that looks like might hold crappie. Any tips on fishing this lake in the spring time for crappie when they spawn?

Great crappie lake. Wife and I used to fish it religiously when we first met. Moved east and have t been back. I miss it. Brushpiles, roadbeds… that is what I targeted.

I have caught a few in the summer just drifting minnows across the cove near the boat launch on the west side of the lake. They also have some fish structures that hold fish. I think now would be shallow and probably good fishing
let me know how you do.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, he'll be gone every weekend.

I always thought there would be consumption restrictions in place for fish caught out of MC. I just did a search and didn't find anything-anyone know if you can eat the fish out of there?

You may be thinking of Lake Worth, Marine Creek has no consumption advisory.

You may be thinking of Lake Worth, Marine Creek has no consumption advisory. He`s thinking MOUNTAIN CREEK. MC  I believe.

Mountain Creek has a consumption ban, Lake Worth has a consumption advisory, Marine Creek has neither.
