Whole heartily agree. This ain't the bass section.

Went by Duck Cove on Twak Saturday, no place to park. I've fished there since the 80's, never seen that big of a crowd.

You must have gotten there late!! I have been getting there before Mr. Jake to get a decent place to dunk some minnows. I caught 5 keepers Sunday am. 3 were 13"+.

It's Jay? Ok, I thought it was Jake. Older man with salt & pepper hair, jigs with a fly rod & usually sits halfway down on the far side. cheers

That's actually a jigging rod with a fly real. Larry and I use a similar set up.

I had my Big John jigging pole rigged with new line and tied a few jigs Saturday to make it out there Sunday morning, woke up at 2:30am sneezing and felt like [censored], wind must have brought some Mt. Cedar from hill country, maybe this next weekend.

Minnows were the ticket Sunday at least. Jigging did not produce many keepers.

In case you haven't heard the bad news, the fishing barge on Lewisville is closing permanently. They just posted on their Facebook page.

That's not cool. It's been increasingly hard to find a good place for crappies around Lake Lewisville if you don't have a boat or kayak. A lot of the places I knew became gated communities or no longer allows public access. Does anyone know of a good bank fishjng area around the southern half of Lake Lewisville that's relatively accessible and safe where I can take the kiddies without them needing to hike a mile through brushes and trees?
