Anyone fished Thomas lately? I was told that there are a lot of the Haitian immigrants around the lake and have made their own tent city. The person told me they are approaching people at the ramp asking for Food, Water and Money. Says he is not comfortable even being at the lake now. Not sure how reliable this info is and I haven't had time to drive 2 hours one way to see if it's true or if this guy was full of it.

No fish at Thomas.

Huge fish kill.

Lower Unit Damaging rocks all over the lake.

I wouldn't venture forth on it.

Fished all day last Friday at Thomas. All I saw were people setting up campsites for Easter weekend.

I will tell you that I fished late into the night on a full moon two summers ago. I was the only truck and trailer by the ramp. Lots of people camping that night. I got back to Lubbock about 3 am. I went to jack up the trailer but my semi new trailer jack was plumb gone. Somebody needed it worse than me I suppose.

Its actually a good little lake, although it can be feast or famine.

Not always great for numbers, but it is a hard lake to beat for quality and average size.

On a good day you can catch 20 fish and have more fish over 4#s than under.

It has been known to kick out 30-40 lb stringers when she is on as well.

We had working man tournaments last summer where it took 23+ lbs and then 28+ lbs to win back to back weeks, then we went a few weeks where no one brought in a fish.

It can go from great to horrible and back to great anytime.
