The carp are moving shallow and working the shorelines adjacent to deep water. I have been catching them on range cubes and with a fly rod. Many are under 10 pounds, but you never know what size may end up on your fly.

Very nice sir. What weight fly rod do you typically use on carp?

I use a 6/7 weight fly rod for almost all of my freshwater fly fishing. Tippet size varies depending on if I am after a tippet class record. I recommend a center drag fly reel, since I have had carp destroy 2 click and pawl fly reels. roflmao

Yep they are! Been catching them cast netting for shad along the bank!
