Our club fished today and the winner had 23.39 with a 7.68 lunker of a 5 fish creel. No bed fishing involved. Did see a couple of boats locked down on beds in Glade. 2nd place had 14.79 with a 3.87 lunker. Fishing was tough for most but fish are being caught despite the winds. The lake came up a few inches after yesterdays storm.

If you launch at Hideaway Harbor, its better to climb up the front of the dock instead of the north side....too many spiders

If you launch at Hideaway Harbor, its better to climb up the front of the dock instead of the north side....too many spiders Launched there about month ago. High wind from the south made loading quiet a chore. I had to arc the boat into the trailer and the approach angle is awful. In order to get my bug not to run up under the nose roller we had to load pretty shallow.

I launched by myself and was so happy with myself because I had loosened the strap just far enough that the boat came off the trailer just enough to stop with the nose right on the roller. Got out, climbed around, got on the trailer grabbed the strap and as I released the winch the boat went straight down and cracked that arrow head looking plastic piece on the Ultrex on the roller! stopped , backed down until the boat just began to come loose from the roller Getting off the water I put it on the trailer like a pro with no issue, due in no small part that there was another angler at the ramp who offered to winch it up for me. Otherwise, it would have backed off and taken out the rest of that trolling motor piece. Wind was howling but that has been pretty much a given this year. In case anyone is curious, that piece of the ultrex was $10 at Lake Fork Resort. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-6637-135835-pic.jpg)

Been fishing good if you can deal with the wind. My wife has been kicking my butt this year on big fish!

Sinky, what kind of water are they in? Been here 10 years and I have never had this much problems locating the fish. Usually multiple fish on beds off my dock but this year nothing. Must be 50 boats a day and nothing being caught at any depth.

We went to Holbrook this morning and saw one of the pros; I guess getting ready for Bassfest and came over to see something different, Toro sponsorship. I don’t know who it was. We came over to Oakridge for lunch and saw one of the Aftco sponsored fishermen with a Skeeter pulling it with a Toyota which I believe was one of his sponsors as well. I just wondered who they were.

Must be 50 boats a day and nothing being caught at any depth. Shallow. Beds are real hard to see. Lots of empty beds last week I think due to the rain and storms. Just hard to move around with the stumps and other boats in areas. I’ve heard of lots of guys struggling. But lots of guys are catching them too. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-19152-135914-20c102b3_801c_4a82_977e_02c99162a6bf.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/04/full-19152-135915-de4830ce_125e_4e8e_882f_08f600ccaf80.jpeg)
