I absolutely love the heave hitter format. Watching those guys strictly target 3+ lb fish is awesome to watch. Might just be the best Bass Tournament entertainment out there...
Congrats Ott Defoe on the win and to Alton Jones Jr for the big bass awards.

Even the Bassmaster only fans watch this one secretly  Ish and a few others had the fish on to win and couldn't execute.

It's cool watching the guys fish water I've been fishing for 30 years. Browning missed an opportunity in Flat today and I'm not sure why he didn't even pick it up. When sun gets up like it did today, he should have thrown a frog on top of those mats and he didn't.

This statement has nothing to do with the format. No issue with that. My take on the entertainment value is quit different than those above. I thought the event was borderline unwatchable for the majority of the time. Just very few fish catches. Very few big fish. Weights were way low even on the days that the minimum was 2lbs. The lake isn't what it once was and they hit it at a time that it is fishing about as bad as I've ever seen it. I guess the good news for those that fish the lake alot, we won't have to worry about a flood of people coming to fish the lake based on watching this event.
For those MLF homers that get easily offended, I'm not bashing the event nor MLF. I watch all of their stuff. I commend them for trying new lakes. I hope they continue to do so. This time it just didn't work out. The lake made the event boring.

Regardless of the Tour all the live shows can have long periods of no or low catch rates. It’s interesting what they do when the wheels seem to be coming off.
