 Spawn still on in E. & Central Tx?

Haven't had the boat out since Jan at Falcon. Where are we on hill country and E tx?

I fished in the Gilmer area last weekend in ponds and lakes from 18 - 300 acres and there were very few left on the beds. I was surprised at how fast it seems to have gone this year. There were still a few but very few.

I don't see how the spawn can be totally over by the second week of April. Especially with this crazy weather all spring slowing things down.

I don't see how the spawn can be totally over by the second week of April. Especially with this crazy weather all spring slowing things down. I caught pre spawn fish today in 6-12 feet of water

Since I can’t fish there ought to be a huge wave of spawners this weekends full moon. 😡 “Over”? Hardly.

Was mainly asking about C Tx. I've caught em in May on Fork for sure on beds. Name your lake if you're still seeing em. Deciding to stay near Austin tomorrow or drive to Fork or Big Sam. Thanks boys!

Don't waste the drive to Fork for sight fishing, not much of that going on... even the guides are fishing other lakes a lot this spring.

We've caught a few spawners the last few weeks on GT. Only one good one so far at 5.5lbs. Missed a couple of others at 4+. Have seen zero beds so we assumed they bedded deeper. Temps have been 58-66 most days. This weekend is our last trip there if we don't find some action. It has been a dink fest.
