He went 7.0 innings no runs, no hits and no walks. Oh, and 13 punch outs on only 80 pitches. Then he get's pulled. I know it's early in the year but come on!!! He seemed ok with the decision, but 6 outs from a perfect game has to be eating him up inside. I listened to the game and he was in full control.

No lock out & normal spring training, I bet he tries to go the distance. Can't risk an injury this early in the year

He's injury prone to begin with. I'm sure he's just fine with his performance, especially where he's at in his career right now.

Incredible performance. Four things in play here regarding pulling him;

- Baseball is all about stats now, his are not great going past 7 in his career
- He is indeed prone to injury and its super early in the season; making the long play, keep him healthy until October *seems unlikely but I like the idea
- Kershaw would not have come out against his will. He had to have been ok with coming out. He's insisted on staying in before and Roberts always let him. The
coaches let him manage himself. He is kind of a legend already.
- Dave Roberts is a mediocre manager at best; see above
