Their both great motors. I'd go with the one that will integrate with your electronics in the most useful and cost effective manner.

Garmin has been better customer service wise in my experience…so I reward companies that put in place great customer service. Humminbird customer service is hard to beat. Garmin #2 and Lowrance a distant 3rd (it’s like they don’t even care).

garmin cs beats bird hands down imo, had a problem with my force when I was programming it the first time. doing the compass and it went nuts and ended up breaking some of the keyway, paid postage for me to send it in and sent me a new one with no hassles and super fast.
the spinning problem is not an issue now on new ones.
bird is good but garmin so far has been a lot better.
