I have an Ionic lithium for my electronics/cranking and 3 AGM for trolling w/ 4 bank charger. I know the charger works for charging all of them because it’s compatible. But the question is do I leave them on the charger or take them off? Do I charge the day before I go on the lake? Does each charge count as a cycle on the Ionics? Is mixing AGM and lithium on same charger ok?

I just put in 3 50ah ionic and have flooded cell for crank/graphs etc.

I put mine on a timer for 2 hrs. once a day, minn kota 440pc.

drewcraft told me not to leave them on maintenance mode like normal so got a timer at home depot.

The ionic has to reach a certain percentage of discharge to reach a cycle. But it’s not in a single given cycle, it’s multiple cycles combined. I think they tend to claim a cycle a bit prematurely, but if mine last 2k cycles or more, it won’t matter.

Also lithiums don’t like to stayed stored full for a long time (6+ months). If your boat sits idle for long periods, keep the charge at 80% or lower. If you use it all the time, doesn’t matter as much. Lead acids like to stay at 100%, lithium’s don’t. No clue on agms, never wanted to own one.

I know you are supposed to set at AGM/AGM hp to charge lithium but is the AGM hp a separate setting?

the minnkota pc charger automatically sets the type of battery, set and forget.

I will vouch for this, my MinnKota PC charger has been charger my 3 Lithium Ion batteries just fine. I purchased the batteries from David at Shut-up- & Fish based on his recommendation. I've been very happy with the results.
