Just a possible scenario I've thought about:

If I'm building my own private pond in Louisiana & would like to stock certain species with plenty of natural & man-made structure.

If I was so inclined- would it even be a possibility to find & stock 100% pure strain native largemouth bass.

Just a wish list question- probably needs a Ken Tx biologists answer.

Thanks all.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Yes. Several farms offer separate northern and Florida-strain options. I work in Arkansas and always specify which strain of bass to stock based on the client's goals and their geographic location (central to northern Arkansas is about the limit of where Florida strain outperform northern strain).
