Got to the lake b4 sunrise & fished until around 4 pm. Plan was to fish for bass early...get some good video & try for sunfish later. Did not have high hopes for the sunfish because Doc had fished the day b4 & didn't find any. Last week the bass were in the trees heavy & feeding like crazy...yesterday they were gone...no luck there or on the Rip Rap except for a few small ones. Around 11 am I stopped at a good sunfish area from the past & it was on. I ended up the day with around 60 sunfish, 17 bass & 1 catfish. There were no small ones mixed in...this school was all 8-10 inchers. Water temp was 78-81 degrees & the wind picked up to around 10 mph for most of the day. I took a little video, but was afraid the wind was going to blow my tripod in the lake so put it away pretty fast. Anyway, here is about 5 minutes worth of Go Pro action...

Yes Sir the Bluegill are alive and well on Fayette! The season has begun! Great video Steve. Going to be a GREAT year!

Doc...Do you remember that Condo at that "other" lake (Lake NotFayette)...I think we called it the "Grand Hotel" ...Probably the biggest Colony of Sunfish I have ever seen.
Zane...Good luck, but please be careful...Wind predictions for Friday are 10-15...& what that usually really means is 15-20...

Glad to see you finally started catching the true trophies instead of those nasty green carp  Side note: do the bass disappear like the gillz do at certain times of the year on Fayette?

Leo...You can catch the Green Carp year round on FCL, but it gets tougher in the hotter months. They really never just totally disappear like the sunfish do in winter.
