I had two friends kill themselves in high school. During the same semester. I still think of them often. This thread brought back their memories. It's been 35 years. You don't really get over it.

One of my closest life long friends. His nephew killed himself a couple years ago. He was in his early 20s. I knew that kid when he was stillin diapers. Still close to the entire family. They still hurt deeply.

I cut up a lot here. But if there's anyone who just needs to reach out. Feel free to message me. If for nothing else but to vent. No judgement, just a friendly shoulder to lean on

14 years old... beyond tragic. There is so much more to life than what you feel at 14. But at 14...you dont know that.

On another note I saw that Justin Bieber announced he will pay for one month of counseling for any fan of his who wants to take him up on it. He put 3 million bucks of his own money on the table to pay for it...

Say what you will about the Beebs music but I thought that was a stand up move. Letting kids know there is help and its like ok to not be ok.

Life Path is where my daughter goes. If you can't afford it I believe it's free. They have been a massive help. But that's awesome of the beebs.

Had a cousin do the same thing..Couple years ago one of my best friends son was 20 and left a note saying no need to live anymore. All you can do is pray for the family and be there for them if they need you

This is terrible news. So sad. They don't realize how much they hurt those around them when they do this. I've had 2 employees and a brother of a close friend kill themselves. It messed my friend up so bad, she started thinking about doing the same thing because of the grief. Luckily she was smart enough to tell her Dad and he got her help. It took years for her to recover.

Prayers for all involved. They are going to need them.

Thanks fellas. I will pass along the sentiments. I just can't imagine the emotions that she's going through right now. We've both shed a few tears the last couple of days.

My brother shot himself back in 2014. I have so many regrets. I think about him often, in fact was telling my boss this morning how amazing a tennis player he was... This is a a very difficult time for your friends. Be present with them and literally groan with them. Praying for you.
