Nice review James. I like all the Owner stuff. That Hyper-wire is crazy strong.

Man i have prob spent a ton of $ on hooks in the last 30 years. I pulled out my hook boxes and went thru and cleaned house of things I will never use, and gifted it to a new fisherman with the bug. I'm a sucker for any new hook, but I primary look for two hooks when I am making a small change in my presentation. Wire hook, or strength.. So I have a ton of the same hook in both wire "strong but brittle", and strong. Back in the day I crossed paths with a well known knife maker who had perfected the heat treatment process on some very temperamental metal. I picked his brain and asked him to heat treat a batch of hooks, he made some small changes to his method and the hooks were better than the manuf. I made the jig to hold 50 hooks, and paid him 3$ per 50. When he got tired of my orders he gave me his recipe/sequence and I can do it myself. But with todays quality of thicker hooks, new hooks are prob better. But the thin wire hooks you see on many of the high end jerkbaits, and lures coming out is where this shines. Thanks for sharing and keep doing what your doing. Oh, and BTW he made me promise to take it to the grave with a hand shake. He is a good man, and one heck of a Mason. I never understood why, but I could buy a rod, reel, or a bag of tackle and not flinch.. But if I go buy a pair of shoes for 50 bucks, it stings...

James, how would this work on say a fluke where you would tex-spose the point, or is it more of a hook to bury in the middle of a plastic? Love me some Owner hooks.
