Going to Lake Hawkins this weekend - never been there. Any advice on how to navigate the water? I hear that there are stumps with t-post in them that you have to watch for and that the water level was low. Anyone been on the lake recently?

Appreciate it!

Water level is back to normal now. There are stumps but they have big orange markers of each side of the boat lane where the stumps are worst. You can run the main lake easily (not that big of a lake anyway) but when you get to the midway or back of coves shut down and idle. From where the buoys stop to the bridge is open but stay in a straight line til you turn right towards the bridge. Once you get past the bridge don't run at all. I was there Weekend before last and there were some bass on the beds. The whole lake should be a bed fishing blessing by now.

Thanks for the guidance, as I hate going to a new lake without knowing how it runs.

Appreciate it!
