I’ve been trying to prepare for an upcoming high school tournament and haven’t been able to put anything together. Fished a couple days cranking both primary and secondary points. Flukes in the timber. Graphing points and locating bait, just can’t connect. All mid-lake with water temps upper 50s into the 60s. I’m talking a couple fish a day
Is it really been fishing this tough for everyone, or is it just me?

Fish should be as far back into the creeks (drains/coves) as they can get in 2-5fow

That lake always seems to fish tough now, below the dam is a different story

Haven't seen any beds so I think you're on the right track hitting up the points for staging fish. You didn't mention what you were cranking with so just play around with the depth until you can dial in where they may be in the water column.

It did take over 13, 11, and 17 pounds to finish first the past two weekends for what that's worth. There were plenty of zeroes and the median weights were meh.

Good luck to your team.

What I do on Belton is just fish the conditions. No game plan or nothing. It's hit or miss. I've had 20 fish days where I only brought one to weigh in. Had two fish days with over ten pounds and a smallie was the kicker....you just never know.

The state tournament with 300+ boats on that lake will be interesting to say the least.
