Since the weather was going to be perfect we decided to camp on the boat. We headed out to one of our favorite spots. The bite was kinda slow. We had to work for our fish. It was all worth it.
We caught 32 crappie, 2 Rios. Sunfish , bass and a warmouth. We fished solos till about 7pm then our daughter and her family joined us for a while and she caught a bass and a warmouth.
Some of the Crappie were on the edge and some crappie were at the bottom by brush piles and some crappie were hitting the jig on the fall. The Rios were also at the bottom along the hydrila along with the the bass and sunfish.


The first 2 Rios to be caught this year. December 24 2021 was the last day we caught a rio.


Leo continued fishing and catching while I cooked some sausage on the grill for dinner.







In the morning we put our tent away, brushed our teeth and continued fishing.


I caught this crappie on my first cast Sunday morning,






Rocko was so exhausted, he couldn't lick another fish.

A total of 81 fish caught on JIGLYF jigs.

Great report and it looks like you guys had a great trip. Those crappie looked like they were getting dressed up for the spawn. Nice dark coloration.
