What do y’all think? Considering buying a few, may just run cheap Slx reels for awhile and test them!

Curados are good reels…even back to the G series

Great reels and hard to beat for the price on the SLX. You wont find a better workhorse reel in the Curado 200K as well.

I have 2 of the curado 150 mgl reels and in my opinion they are the best since the E series, also have one of the slx mgl reels. If I had to choose between the 2 I’d get the curado mgl, a lil smoother and has a more solid feel.

Thanks for posting this. I have two SLX MGLs and several Curado Ks already. I was wondering if I should spend the extra money and get the Curado MGL for my next setup.

The SLX are good, solid reels but do have a few quirks I’m not fond of.

If you can find a JDM 2021 Scorpion DC, they have the MGL spool with the newer i-DC5. They're in the same price range as the curado DCs.

I have been using Curado reels for over 20 years and still have some of them still today but have spent the last couple of years trying to find the one newer version of reel that I really felt great about. I have used several different ones and they all performed great but then a while back I checked out the Curado 150 MGL reels because of some good reviews and the lower profile and all I can say is that for me it turned out to be the reel I am now getting to replace all of my old ones. I have 3 now and they all work great and really feel good to me with multiple techniques. Luckily for me now at age 69 I stick to just 10 rigs for all of my bass fishing so I only have 7 more to buy over the next year or so.
