I don’t keep up with Hollywood and don’t know all the marriage background BS, but I’m willing to bet most here wouldn’t sit idle if someone else were poking fun of their wives.
And I don’t know if it was real or not, did CR’s face look bruised later?

If you are going to live the Hollywood life and make your millions there acting in a fantasy world, you really need to have thicker skin than Will Smith seems to have. He should be glad Ricky Gervais wasn’t hosting.

The comedian host has been the platform for years. In this world we live in, I could so see a change in format to ensure that nobody gets offended at the next show.

This was not someone literally "attacking" his wife. Its an entertainment show. Hosted by a comedian. They make jokes and sometimes you might be the butt of a joke if your a big famous actor. Those award shows are half roasts of the famous people there! Everyone knows that. If you cant take a joke stay home bcs that comes with the territory.
