My dad had gout and he have to give up beer drinking. As long as he didn't drink beer he never had to worry about it. It was very hard for him to give it up because he had been a beer drinker for 40 years.

Wait Math Geek needs to do a video on this! To add to his previous hits such as "Are you Eating to Much?", "Are you Drinking to Much?", "How to Prevent ED", and of course his latest drop "Proper Use of Fiber"
If you have not seen these they are must see and can be found in the Health and Wellness Section. The one on ED is particularly great.

Five days into a good dose of gout. Gave up and called Dr. after the second day. He called in a prescription for methylpredisolne. Close as I can spell it. I Could wear shoes after36 hrs. Four times I’ve had it and by far best medication.
Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

Allopurinol for maintaining uric acid level. Indomethacin for pain and swelling. Have blood work done when you can. Some doctors will prescribe Colchicine for pain....but very limited amount of pills.
Diet !!! Been there many times

Indomethacin nips mine in the bud. Mine is brought on by dehydration. I don't drink enough water in the desert, AZ and So TX. I think this was a big part. Driving around not drinking anything all day for a few days straight and then eating and drinking the things that are apparently worst for you.
