What determines which Knockout group A or B the ten anglers are in?

What place they are in from the previous round, its not odds and evens either, its an odd pattern I'm not sure why they use. 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th... are in one group and 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th and so on are in the other group.

Thanks SC for the explanation. I agree it makes absolutely no sense.

I think the reason they do that is so the average of A & B qualifying round spots are equal, otherwise those in the group of odds number would arguably be the more difficult group than the evens.
