I've actually eaten JC haha... Covered it with lemon juice and onion in the smoker. Tasted like a tender beef fajita, I wouldn't eat it again haha!

I never wanted to keep one or eat one. Pretty bloody meat. SHARK BAIT Was on a charter trip recently and we got into them. I wasn't the only person on board who wanted to keep a couple. I think most know this had nothing to do with your desire to eat one.
You get out of it what you put into it!

This was a great read... And it has been my observation that even shark prefer snapper.

Oh goodness. I'm the guy who is willing to eat hardhead catfish and several other so-called 'junk' fish.
But even I gotta pass at trying to eat Jack crevalle . . . again (*ahem*)

You know with a little effort, it's not hard to catch a limit of speckled trout. A bit more effort and you can catch some redfish, another notch up the clue wagon and you can catch the best eating fish in the bay, flounder.
Carving up crevalle or hard heads or skip jack or whatever else nasty thing you catch is something akin to wearing a kick me tshirt.

I agree: only fit as shark bait.
Now you can learn ways that was not available before how to book cheap flight tickets so you can save whenever flying to any part of the country or world.
