Just put a brand new Fortrex on and it sounds like this. Seems Louder than my old edge in the water and I can feel some vibration Through the foot pedal. Any ideas? Hopefully not a bent shaft fresh out of the box

Seems fairly normal to me. Does the new Fortrex have the same thrust as the old edge? Same shaft length? I have a Fortrex 80 and yours looks just like mine. smile

Zeroing in on the shaft nut, it looks like the shaft nut doesn't deflect from center while running. Thus, it doesn't appear the shaft is bent. Might want to remove the propeller, rotate it 180 degrees, reattach and test again. I know it sounds stupid, but its made a difference for me in the past. You might also look into the T-H Marine Eliminator Prop Nut. Amazon link here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012RT1HI0/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_7?psc=1

I've never used the prop nut so I can't speak from experience. I've read mixed reviews about the effectiveness...some love it...some think it was a waste of money. Heck, some are at the bottom of the lake after falling off...so buyer beware.
