as a last ditch effort you could weld a hex head bolt to the head of the allen bolt and then use an impact wrench

As suggested above, impact driver. Tap the Allen socket in with a hammer to get full engagement (without the driver attached), then use a large hammer (like a 4 pounder) on the impact driver. On motorcycles, where you encounter a lot of stainless screws and bolts into aluminum, an impact driver is a “gotta have” tool. I use a lot of Tef Gel on those type applications; it really cuts down on dissimilar metals oxidation and is not as messy as Never Seez. Good luck!

Agree. I have a hand impact driver from back in the husky days. I tried that first. I also have a 1/2 air impact that won't break it loose. I'm trying acetone on it now.

I’d take a hack saw to it, right in the slot. Once I got that black thing off, I’d drill the last of it out. The black thing is part of the triple tree. Major operation to remove that. But if I have to drill it, I can do it where it is. I'll try the heat gun again if the acetone doesn't work. I do have a gas tank close by so high heat is a consideration.

Got it. Wrapped the tank in foil, used my hand as a heat checker on the tank and blasted it with a heat gun on high. Then used the 1/2 in impact to break it loose. Here is the offending bolt finally out.

Well done. Tenacity in action. probably helped too that he knows the consequences of failure/defeat once posted on the ot, the razzing would be ongoing.

I get why they put that red stuff on there. Not everyone is going to fine tune things to their liking. Or in my case, rough tune lol. You just have to make it yours so you can work on it or change it. It's a bike. That red stuff gets in the way for sure. Anyway, hope this helps somebody else.
