I have had my boat about 3 months and taken it out a handful of times, to say the learning curve is steep is a bit of an understatement but Im getting there. Previously had only fished on my FIL's barge with a single 2D sonar unit, basically just went to brush piles we already knew the location of. Made the commitment and got this new boat which came with two Garmin 93sv on my console which I believe are linked together, I have another on the front, it seems like some waypoints are shared but not all.

1. How do I check to see if the units are linked?
2. If they aren't, which is what I suspect, how do I go about linking them so they share data waypoints etc.
3. The fishing maps in the units are good, but I noticed this past week that the creek beds aren't shown which is a PITA, is there something I can do to change this or are these maps just something proprietary to Garmin?
4. On the front unit there is a pre set combo that has down and side together but it is side by side, when I try to create a custom combo to put them on top of each other i get a "not available" note on the section im trying to add the side imagine to. Any ideas?
5. Sometimes my side imagine on the left side is basically black but then other times I get a good side image on both sides of the boat/screen
6. Is there a setting so that my boat tracks go away over time? Hard to look at contor lines when you have a spaghetti bowl on boat trails on top of the topo

1. There is a port on the back of the unit that looks like a phone jack and is labeled either "network" or "Panoptix". If you are not running Livescope and all three units have a cable plugged into that port, they should be linked together.

2. You will have to get a GMS 10 port expander to link all three since there is just one network port on each unit: https://www.russellmarineproducts.com/Garmin-GMS-10-Network-Port-Expander-p/010-00351-00-gar.htm

3. You can purchase a Garmin Navionics Vision Plus card to get more detail, I'm not sure if they will have the beds or not on them though.

4. Make sure software is up to date on this issue.

5. More than likely interference from lower unit of motor on this, but would be hard to tell for certain without looking at it. If it improves or goes away after trimming up the engine, that's the issue.

6. I don't believe so. I think there is a way that you can delete just the tracks in the user data menu though.
