Do you use a trailer? If you do, are there certain situations you choose to do this for?
Thanks in advance

For me always a trailer, more action, more bulk…but mostly confidence for me!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Simple curly tail grub seems to work well for me

Simple curly tail grub seems to work well for me Unless I accidentally left them at home, I use a 3 inch grub trailer. Easier to cast and the extra lift makes them easier to manipulate in the water.

I have caught plenty of fish without trailers but been experimenting with different trailers lately. The ones without a big tail seem to move through the water best while imparting some action. A small Keitech swimbait has worked well for me so far. A spunk shad might be good. I am trying to find the best way to keep them on the hook and not sliding down.

I’d say I use a trailer about 25% of the time. I use them if I want to add bulk to the bait and help with lift

Super glue or use a spinner bait like the covert from booyah with the keeper on it.

Never really used a trailer up until recently. I used to use a trailer hook 100% of the time and a trailer would usually get in the way. But I throw spinnerbaits so rarely and catch so few on it, I wouldn't take my advice lol.

Depends on the profile and the speed you are wanting to accomplish. I use them when slowing down and for a bigger profile. If I am burning a spinnerbait then no trailer but trailer hook....

No trailer or trailer hook. I think a spinnerbait has enough going on without adding to it. It makes sense for profile but I don't feel the need when I fish one. Maybe I need to give it a try.

I pretty much never use a trailer or trailer hook. I've always figured if I throw the right bait and work it right that they will eat it good. Lol That said, I watched Jason Christie the other day and he always uses a trailer which got me interested in experimenting with them. I may end up just sticking with my style but it's fun to try different stuff, especially when you figure it out

I don’t, usually, but if I see stuff following a spinnerbait and they don’t hit it I might stick a trailer on and see if that changes things.
I love covering water with a spinnerbait, though. It’s really fun fishing.

one of my favorite techniques --- 80% of the time --- yes a trailer adds size and vibration . The hard part is using a Keitech swimbait while adding a trailer hook . The tail of the swimbait can get caught on the trailer hook . I have tried turning the Keitech upside down --- doesn't seem to help very much . Last year I switched from using Strike King Premier plus 1/2 oz to the Wareagle variations . Love a wareagle with the Keitech tails ---deadly last year in weedy lakes

Never use a trailer. I can't feel the blades as well with a trailer. To each their own though.
I can backlash toilet paper.
