First, let me say Congratulations to Jason Christie, great win. But I do have some questions that were triggered by the 1994 Classic thread. Did anyone notice the arena seemed pretty quiet this year and I also noticed, and maybe it was me and maybe it was the camera angles, but the arena seemed to not have any lights on in it so you couldn't see the crowd. Was there just not a lot of people there? I'm just curious. I like BASS and I like MLF so this isn't a bashing thread. Glad we have both, but I am curious.

The audio feeds were only from the board. You could only hear the crowd through the PA Mic or stage Mic. This was apparent during the Super 6 Intros. I think it was pretty electric given the absent attempt to mic and produce the crowd on the web stream. When people were leaving after the weigh-in the flow of traffic was pretty high.

I can honestly say I didn't realize Christie had made up the gap, so the weigh-in of the last two made for some actual drama.

Not triggered, just answering a question. It was pretty full. People were turned away due to it being full.

I think the BassTrak hurts attendance, Mark from BTL said many years ago they need to shut it off @ 1pm, I believe NPFL does this. Last year was the same, floods of people in the Expo, but weigh in crowd not so much.

Agree....The sound doesn't do a good job of capturing the arena noise.

One thing about this Classic that stood out to me is that during the tail end of a pandemic with record high gas prices, a bad economy that a record 155,000 people turned out to watch a group of so called no names. Let that sink in just a bit.

Sorry all, my wording was poor. I meant I had questions for the masses about the 22 classic. The questions were triggered by reading about then1994 classic. Sorry for the poor wording.

That should answer your question since he was there.
