Took vacation time off this week for spring break and decided to go back to the spot where I caught crappie this time last year. The spot is on windy shoreline of a 400 acre private lake. Water temp was 55-57 degrees and the wind was blowing strong against the shore. I rigged up my tried and true slabalicious jig n bobber and found the crappie there again. I also discovered another shoreline holding crappie, white bass, and black bass. I fished the usual largemouth bass lures, but the jig n bobber caught the most fish.

Most of the time, fishing this time of year is like smoking a brisket or rack of ribs... low and slow get's the job done best.
