So what does Garmin and a top ranked Formula One team have in common? ? ? They spent half of this year’s budget, on next year’s upgrades. I found this video on YouTube. A Minnesota Crappie Fisherman was comparing a the LVS32 to the LVS34. Same Black Box, just a new, upgraded transducer. Now I don’t have Livescope yet, but I’m close. From the videos I’ve seen of 18.1 vs 19.1 with the LVS32, the clarity and target separation really degraded as SK has demonstrated. It appears, the “upgrade” was to prepare the Black Box to support the new and improved LVS34, yet disregarded the LVS32. 19.1 is specifically for LVS34 and 18.1 was specifically for LVS32. Disappointing, but understandable. It appears the great thing about the LVS34 is that the range is a lot greater. The clarity and target separation appears to be as good as 18.1 with the LVS32. Well that vid showed lvs34 performing a lot better from 0 to 20' than any other vid I've seen.....

I agree with SK; this is the best video showing the performance of the update especially when paired with its intended sonar. Yes, the LVS32 is functional but it’s like night and day between this and the LVS34. Very impressive video! Thanks for the demo.

Latest update is 19.2. Fixes some of the issues people had on 19.1 Go HERE and look up you unit and then click updates. 19.20 is the most current.
