I have one of my battery connection leads that has gotten corrosion inside it and isn't working. Anyone ever changed out one of the leads before? This is on an old MK345 charger that I've had for a LONG time.

Was thinking about just stripping it back to find good wire and add connectors to it, but when I stripped it back there is some kind of resistor and a 3rd wire with a jumper actually buried inside the wiring harness, Not just the positive and negative wire like one would thought. The jumper wire is what has corroded off the resistor

Have looked around a little and can still find some of the older style leads, but have no idea how they connect back into the charger itself on the back side of that lock nut where they go in.

have you checked prior to the resistor for 12v?

Finally got a hold Minn Kota. Apparently its not a resistor, but a temp sensor that is built into the pig tail. They had a heck of a time going back to the archives and finding the books for the old Analog style MK345. He finally got it cross referenced and they think they have a harness that will work, that has the build in temp sensor. Either way it was worth the $18 bucks they wanted for it. So hopefully its either plug and play into the old unit or will be spliced in place. I've never unscrewed the compression caps that connect the pig tails to the charger so Im not sure how they are connected.
