So, I think I blew my power head today. I was getting on plane and a loud pop came from the motor. Now it won’t start. Power head? Also, if so, what would be the best option? Rebuild or repower?

Compression test might be easier, at least to verify. If you've thrown a rod or cracked the block, you'll see it in a compression test.
