My neighbor in Oak Point was Deb Sadler, owner of 20/20 Home Inspections. I follow her on FB because of all the things she comes across doing a home inspection. Her latest finds are some (not all) new home inspections. No insulation in the attic.

2 story home. If living space above, that can be considered warm condition living space. Not required to be insulated. Looks like floor joist running left to right so it is what it is.

I noticed that too, that space doesn’t need insulation unless it is exterior, but I’m thinking there more living space above it

it is living space above too, if that is daytime and the sun is out it would be warm if the attic.

I am more interested in which ar platform she has that thermal on. woot

stairs gave it away on the second look.

I've seen some of the dumbest stuff ever on home inspector reports. They should be required to build houses first.

Just went through home inspections to sell my house. The things he noted v the things he missed were hilarious, he didn’t even have a ladder so my roof scored 100.

That’s not a ghost, the red image is the ceiling fan housing and light kit. The blue ceiling image is at 70 degrees, the recessed ceiling lights are at a temp higher than 97. Thats about all you can decipher from the IR image.

As an Architect / Building Envelope Consultant I agree that most home inspectors are idiots.
