After our pontoon boat got totaled out last August I have been looking for a small Jon boat for the lake house at Whitney . As I already have my time being spent on my 66 Mercury Comet now I have another . After looking at a million Jon boats to find No Titles on them I found this little gem near Cayon Lake that I bought and driving down today to pick up . 600 bucks for boat and trailer and he has a new clear Texas title . Old Lone Star . Can't wait to start on it . He already replaced to transom and trailer has new tires . [Linked Image]

Great little project boat. Trying to find cheap boats with title these days is a gem in itself. Especially trailer!

I saw that boat on Craigslist and thought it was a scam. Check out Tiny Boat Nation on YouTube. They do a lot of customized work on small aluminum boats.

Can't tell you how many hours I spent in our old Lonestar when I was a kid. 7.5 hp Evinrude and a homemade trailer. And it hauled in countless tons of fish.

Fill it up with water to see where the leaks are.

My Dad had a 15 ft Lonestar when I was young. We would take it to Lake Texoma for a couple of weeks every August . I have spent many a day
blistering in the sun on that boat. I have run miles of trotlines and caught beaucoup sandbass out of that little boat. I thought I was so grown up when I was allowed to take it out by myself.
