Charlotte is the worst on lay overs, the smaller planes are far from the big boys and they usually give you 30 min in between flights Had a scheduled 2 hour layover scheduled at Charlotte once. Lightening storm delayed takeoff of our originating flight so we got to Charlotte with less than 30 minutes. Went straight to a counter to see where our connection was. They held the flight (probably because the 4 of us were in uniform) as we did the OJ run through the airport. Luggage was delivered to the house 3 days latter.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

30 minutes is fine for Phoenix, years ago my wife was on crutches and we had 30 minutes to get to our connecting flight which was at the gate next to ours was cancelled and we had to go across the airport to board another plane but when we got to that gate it was cancelled and combined with a larger plane at another gate near where we arrived to begin with....still made it with 5 minutes to spare....

As an airport guy this is a horrible layout from a number/name convention. It is backwards, not similar, follows whatever they felt like.

I refuse to book a flight if it isn’t non stop, I’ve never booked a layover but I know some people HAVE to get layovers and I feel for you. Also refuse to book a connecting flight unless I have no other choice to my destination. So I guess I can reword my plan, never a layover, connecting domestic flight. International flights you don’t have a choice for the most part except Canada and Mexico, those two you can probably get a direct flight.

Had a 2 hour layover at O'Hare once where we all got off the plane, our connecting flight, same terminal, same plane.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!
