I finally made it to Canton (first Monday) this weekend, and this place is huge. We spent the whole day there on Saturday and we did not see everything. Also, something special about those piney woods and small east Texas towns. Going back before the summer heat is on our agenda.

We go maybe once a year, gets pretty repetitive after you've been a few times but its a good way to spend a day with the family.

I don't think Canton is East Texas. It's the first place I come to that I realize my blood pressure goes up when driving to DFW

I don't think Canton is East Texas. It's the first place I come to that I realize my blood pressure goes up when driving to DFW To be East Texas you have to be east of the Trinity River. Canton is west of it.

there used to be something special about them Sounds like the Round Top during the Spring and Fall antique festive. I go 10 miles out of my way to avoid the place.
