My personal preference is manual. Tough to get every single morsel of that delicious filet with an electric.....at least for me.

The amount of fish I need to clean determines it for me!

Two cuts and done. Don't see the need to save the one bite made from V. Crappie are so easy to clean in comparison to Stripes, most electric or manual knives if kept sharp will work !!

Nicely done! I only recently started filleting crappie primarily because of the workload, but have no problem with either manual or electric knife.

Electric knife for me then trim out the rib cage and save the V piece with a sharp filet knife.

I filleted manual for a decade. Recently made the transition to electric. It took some practice but in the end the comparison really is not even close to me. I can clean the fish 3 times faster now and with less wasted meat. Also I don't cut my fingers at all any more. I was stubborn, but made the change that was needed.

I really liked the song at the end.

Old timer Cordless electric you can purchase on Amazon for 76.00 and it puts bubbas high priced cordless to shame.

I got tired of replacing blades an electric knives. I went back to an old school Rapala , it is probably over 30 years old , a few strokes on a crock stick and it is good to go. I have 6-7 other fillet knives , but I still like the Rapala the best.

Electric all the way. I can make them paper thin with it. I don't leave any meat on the bones.
